How do I know if I'm ready for a reading?
It’s natural to think you have to “get ready” before reaching out to me or requesting a reading.
Whether we’re focused on our work, our relationships, our self-care, our confidence, our lifestyle, our advocacy or our spirituality — women can have a tendency to want to “figure it out” before we invite other people, answers or ideas in. We prepare, plan, procrastinate, or focus on gaining clarity or confidence before we take action. The instinct to solve and the longing to know is natural, understandable and very common. But it’s also a myth.
What if I told you the very purpose of spirituality is to release you from the burden of figuring everything out on your own, once and for all?
By cultivating a relationship with yourself, your intuition, and with the universe/spirit/source around you — you can receive the ease, clarity, assurance and guidance you’re trying to generate on your own.
And rather than figuring out how to do that on your own, I can facilitate that process and connection for you. That’s the value of working with me or booking a reading; you are supported every step of the way.
You are more than ready for a reading if some or all of these statements feel true for you:
I have some awareness about who I am, and spend time in self-reflection.
I have a self-connection practice of some kind. For example: yoga, journalling, gratitude, meditation, or art.
I have spent time exploring or learning about mysticism, spiritual arts, healing arts, or the natural world. For example: spirituality, angels, yoga, eastern traditions, religions or medicines, mindfulness, Reiki, energy healing, moon cycles, nature as a teacher, and more.
I have a sense of humanity’s collective consciousness, believe that our individual actions impact the collective, or believe in something bigger than myself and my physical being.
I enjoy spending time with other women, value a sense of sisterhood, or have a community or tribe of my own (in real life, online, or both).
I have a strong sense of intuition, or want to strengthen my intuition and ability to listen to myself.
I have hidden questions about who I am, what I’m meant to be doing, where I’m headed, or a transition, challenge or growth period I’m experiencing.
I have a general curiosity about myself, my life or my spirituality that I can’t quite put into words.
I have experienced something that makes me uncomfortable — a dream, vision, insight, a change of heart, a strong sense of knowing, a voice from within, or something similar.
I am curious and open-hearted, and interested in personal growth.
I hope this helps release some uncertainty you may have. If these sentences describe you — now is right, if it feels right.
You can explore the types of readings I offer, or you can send an email to introduce yourself and we’ll figure the rest out together.
No matter what you decide, you are not alone.
Blessings,
Valerie
